Another digital painting, this one based on this photo. Again, the colors and shapes were all there, I just used an assortment of pixel-pushing tools to give it a painterly effect. I displayed this at PhotoshopTechniques.com, with a disclaimer denying that any real talent went into this, as I'm sure there are designers that could do much better work with no reference photo whatsoever. I was quickly reminded that perhaps the point of such a work is not to show off talent, it's to make things that look good. Good advice. |
