You're looking at my favorite project of all time, to date. I'd been a fan of the North Mississippi Allstars for quite awhile before I heard they were coming to my university to give a free concert. That was exciting enough, but then I got the charge of creating a poster to be distributed statewide to promote the event. I've done my best to mimic the style of the 60s/70s psychadelic concert posters, in particular those created by Bob Masse (who's still crankin' 'em out to this day,) one of my favorite designers. A framed copy of this with all of the band's signatures hangs above my computer today.
