These images represent the outcome of a
series of "experiments"
I've done using Photoshop.
The idea behind all of these is that through limiting
myself to a predetermined set of filters, tools, plugins,
etc. I can learn to better control those variables in
other projects. Most of what you'll see here is abstract,
but quite a few of them are surprisingly beautiful works
of "art for art's sake."
I owe the idea for all of these to the great people over
at PhotoshopTechniques.com
- a forum full of wonderful and talented artists far beyond
my own skill.

Lens Flare Experiments
Each of these images was created
using only the Lens Flare Filter
in conjunction with one other filter
from the Distort menu.
The idea was to see what kinds of varied results could
be derived from what seems to be a very limited tool.
Have a look at my results...

Filters-Only Experiments
These images were all created
using only the native filters
of Photoshop 7. No brushwork,
no masking, no gradients, no liquify. No pixels were pushed
in the making of the images. |

The Texture Challenge
The images here are experiments in texture.
All filters were allowed,
as were all other tools.
The purpose was to create the appearance of a textured
surface. |
