Introduction
and Explanation:
When dialing into the Internet, you may receive a busy signal signifying
someone is logging on at the same time. To set up your system to automatically
redial, follow these directions. Depending on how you connect, there are
different options to make Dial-Up Networking redial.
Windows 95/98
Instructions:
1. To
get to Dial-Up Networking, double-click My Computer on
the Desktop
2. In My Computer, find the Dial-Up Networking folder
icon and double-click to open it
3. At the top Dial-Up Networking, there should be a menu with
File, Edit, View, etc. Find the Connections menu and
click on it
4. Under Connections, click on Settings...
5. In the middle of the screen, place a check beside Redial
6. In the boxes, set it to dial 99 times with
0 mins 5 secs in between dialing
7. Press OK at the bottom to save your settings
8. Close Dial-Up Networking and My Computer
9a. Attempt to connect to IOCC.com as you normally would

If your computer still does not redial, follow Steps 10 through 16
10. Click on
» Settings » Control Panel
11. In Control Panel, find Internet Options
and double-click to open it
12. Under Internet Properties, click on the Connections
tab at the top
13. In Connections, click on the Settings button
to open another window
14. On the Settings window, click on the Advanced button
at the bottom right
15. Set it to redial 99 times with 5
seconds interval time
16. Press OK on all screens to close and save
your settings
